Football Analyst Chris Sutton Takes On Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
Arsenal's 10-game winning run was ended by the Black Cats before the international hiatus, but will the Premier League frontrunners recover against local foes Spurs this weekend?
"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."
The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, against artificial intelligence, readers and a variety of guests.
For week 12, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.
Murs' new album, the new release, is available on the weekend.
Football and Parenting Life
Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not intending a professional return as a player.
"{I actually played in a charity match the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!
"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.
"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or son decides to play instead."
Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.
"I won't push football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be managing their weekend soccer side," he added.
"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a period too.
"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Premier League Predictions
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their attack is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.
In my opinion this game will be quite close, though. Burnley are well organised and their sole home losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.
This suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.
The expert's prediction: 1-2
The singer's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their past two matches - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.
In contrast, West Ham won two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear strong again.
The Hammers' sole on the road win this season came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno was previously that team's coach.
So, what exactly do I predict here - can West Ham extending their streak under Nuno, or the home side responding?
I am going to go with the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Villa was a blip.
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2
AI's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season began, but they have impressed a few people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their last four matches.
A family member advised me to select Brentford forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen.
The forward will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.
They have not had much success on the road this season, and the Seagulls are consistently strong at home. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a threat.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
Olly's view: It could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it actually proves to be quite close. 1-1
AI's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a massive game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.
They have have plenty of talent in their squad but it still seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.
As for Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.
Their display in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not seen anyone else rough up the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.
The logical choice to do to support the visitors here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of last month.
However I am not going to choose that. Rather, I really need to carry on going against Sunderland with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good results because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.
Looking at Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the sole side they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be absolutely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three points.
Sutton's forecast: 1-0
Olly's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a poor run... but they have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0

It is a hard one to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but might they be among the teams who profit from the {international break|
