Ex- Physician Faces Sexual Assault Charges Against 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have announced that a former doctor now faces charges for committing sexual assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were patients.
Details of the Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of sexual offences – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
One senior CPS official said, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Police Inquiry
The charges come after what police described as a “detailed inquiry” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.
